What is going on with the New LRSD?

First they almost fall out of playoff contention in the Spring season and some Old LRSD members had to come back to save them.  Now they are just flirting with mediocrity with a record just above the .500 mark. Maybe they just aren’t good enough to fill the shoes of the Old LRSD. Maybe its too mush pressure to live up to the reputation that has been built up by the LRSD’s past dominance. Maybe these guys aren’t winners. Whatever the case may be one things for sure changes need to be made.

We all know the Old LRSD struggled in the past but they eventually came together and formed one of the greatest teams the game has ever seen. So maybe the New LRSD is just going through a similar situation and they will end up coming back and being one of the best LRSD teams yet.  We will have to just wait and see what happens.

Congrats to the LRSD for winning its first round playoff game on the spring ladder.  The New LRSD got a boost from some Old LRSD members as they manage to dominate their first round opponent by a score of 3 games to 0. BryDog and Takedown came out of retirement just in time to save what looked like a failing LRSD squad and they showed that Old Dogs don’t need new tricks.

If it wasn’t for BryDog and Takedown coming out of retirement I’m not sure the LRSD wins their first round match up.  Either way the LRSD got it done and congrats to the guys who played in the game (Level, Nuke, Takedown and Brydog).  Unfortunately the LRSD will square off with the defending Game Battle champions Independence in the 2nd round of the playoffs.  Independence has the LRSD’s number and its going to take a tremendous team effort to pull off the upset.

Here’s the video:

Recently I have returned to battle after some time off… And frankly, I am not very happy with what I have returned to.drillsergeant When I joined and was playing with the LRSD, it was the most elite, talented, and organized team on game battles.

I have noticed that leadership has been thrown overboard and left in the wake of the “old LRSD”. This is not the LRSD that made it to the playoffs for the last 2 seasons. The team has become a bunch of randoms trying to prove themselves instead of a deadly unit that leaves nothing but destruction in its path.

What’s the problem?

The problem is, like I stated before severe lack of leadership. Nobody is stepping up and keeping teammates in their place, instead its a random mash up of ” pub-stars” running around hoping to look like super stars. This is not how to win games.

Another problem I notice is irresponsibility. There is way too much finger pointing and blaming going on. I highly suggest you guys take off the diapers, grow some balls, and take responsibility for mistakes made. If your too much of a “baby” to take blame and a little criticism, WE DON’T WANT YOU. Simply put… Be a man.

Changes

There are a few things that need to change, and change quickly if any body wants to succeed in this summer season.

There will be ONE leader. This is the most important. The leader is the one who makes observations on the battle field, and uses his experience and best judgement to call the plays. Once a decision is made, it will be called out quickly and clearly, and all will follow. If orders are not followed, the leader WILL FORFEIT the match forcing the team to take a loss. Of course if you see something that the leader does not and his call would endanger anyone… Let him know, otherwise deliberate ignorance of orders will result in a loss.

Game chat

During a game, everyone is to remain silent on their mics, until information is to be called out. Then and only then will you speak, clearly and quickly to relay information. Tell us how many enemies, where they are, and if possible… Their loadout (weapons). Other than that and the leaders orders nothing is to be said. Talk is distracting, and makes it hard to listen to the battlefield. Once again if there is too much chatter and ignorance, the leader will forfeit the match.

These are just a few things that will be put into effect immediatly. It is up to you guys if you want to take losses for neglecting these new rules. And if there is anything you don’t like about this, or disagree with anything, I will gladly show you the door. No matter how good you think you are, remember… There is ALWAYS someone better. There are hundreds of players dying for your spot on the team, and you can very easily be replaced, and not missed.

Leaders, step up and take charge of your team and show no mercy. Respect is earned, not given.

Everyone else, do your part to ensure a victory, and take responsibility for your actions and mistakes.

See you on the battlefield…
