New Guy

Cevo Squad prepares Pafinator for an upcoming Cevo match. Pafinator is young but his game keeps progressing throughout each day. He has learned to deal with trash talk and knows how to take orders. He has alot of pressure on him but hopefully he can handle himself.

The rest of the guys and I had a big talk with Mad Dog and figured this was the best solution. I believe that as long as we practice and show him the strategies he will fit right in.

If Pafinator starts to play like Bobbigcack he is more than welcome to become a permanent member of our Cevo squad. I will post up some more information in the upcoming days to report the LRSD Cevo sqauds progress.

There is definitely some angry faces coming out of the LRSD Hardcore Division’s training locker this morning, due to the defeat by it’s sister clan, LRSD Alpha Team, on Monday night. The fact that the world renowned journalist Gymbo Slice wrote an article about it the day after has also rubbed some salt in the wounds of these fallen gentleman.

We, the media, of course like to speculate and give our ideas as to why certain events may have happened. Could this be just another lapse in co-leader lx P xl’s talent or was it an all-round bad game? Some of the players unofficially stated that there may have been to much horse-play during the game and not enough warfare. Others say that the Hardcore Division have beat members from the Alpha and Bravo team so many times already that one loss does not mean a thing.

We were able to catch up with Dark Nights Con this morning as he stormed towards his Hum-vee from the the locker rooms:

Media: “Dark, what are your thoughts on Monday nights clash against LRSD Alpha Team?”

Dark: “They are a great team, had a bit of good luck, and we were not on top of our game.”

Media: “Do you think lx P xl and yourself are mainly to blame for the teams loss?”

Dark: “Yes, I am certain of that.”

Media: “It seems that LRSD Alpha Team is living on cloud nine at the moment because of the win. Could there be a chance of a rematch?”

Dark: “Actually yes, TONIGHT! I hereby challenge LRSD Alpha Team to a rematch tonight (Wednesday, July 16, 2008). Upon approval by the Alpha Team leader, we will play a Game Battles Hardcore match: best 2 out of 3, no air support, no noob tubes, 5 vs 5 or 6 vs 6, and maps will be decided upon agreement. BRING IT LADIES!”

So there you have it, Dark Nights Con has officially challeneged LRSD Alpha Team to a rematch. We came to find out also that the other occassions that LRSD Hardcore Division beat members from LRSD Alpha and Bravo teams, Mad Dog (LRSD Alpha/Bravo Leader and Founder) made excuse after excuse about why his team was defeated. So the final questions are, will Alpha Team accept the chellange? Will Mad Dog finally own up to any loses that may occur at the hands of the Hardcore Division or will he continue to make excuses for his team? Is that the type of attitude and example that a leader should make on his team or should Mad Dog take lessons from Dark Nights Con? Keep an eye open tonight for the beginning of World War III between LRSD Alpha Team and LRSD Hardcore Division.

The Dark Sidelx P xl also wanted to add, “Tonight is the beginning of darkness, and the end of light.”

Last night the Hardcore Team had a scrimmage with the LRSD Alpha squad (Well not the whole Alpha squad). The Hardcore team was riding this huge wave of momentum (5-0 in Game Battles) and wanted to challenge the Alpha Team in a friendly hardcore match. IX P XI and DarkNights wanted to show the Alpha Team that they can’t be stopped in hardcore but the match didn’t go as they planned.

The scrimmage was a hardcore search and destroy match something Alpha Team doesn’t practice very often, if at all. The Alpha Team brought some of their superstars in for this one. They really wanted to test the hardcore team and see what all this “Darkside” hype was all about.

GymboSlice, Mad Dog, Jeffrosaw and Takedownspecial (What We Like to Call the Fab Four) were all participating in the scrimmage. When these four step on the battlefield together the other team is usually in for a beating. RDawg joined them as the fifth member of the team. The Alpha Team wanted to find out what the “DarkSide” was all about.

The Hardcore team brought some of their best players but it just wasn’t enough.

Round One started with the Alpha Team securing the first victory of the match. The Hardcore Team was not phased as they came right back and won the next two rounds and took the lead over Alpha Team 2-1.

GymboSlice said “Don’t worry the game has just begun.”

Next thing you know the Hardcore Team was rocked and the Alpha Team easily took the next 3 games too locked up a 4-2 victory. Those 3 rounds the Alpha Team dismantled the “Darkside” and showed them the light. The DSRL learned a major lesson during the battle and that was not to underestimate anyone especially the LRSD Alpha Squad.

Mad Dog built the LRSD and the Alpha Team so of course they are good at everything, even hardcore. Mad Dog said “I just wanted to put IX P XI and the Darkside in their place. Hopefully my sniper bullet to IX P XI’s head sent the message loud and clear. The Alpha Team has been through millions of battles together and I knew the Hardcore team just didn’t have that kind of experience yet. The Darkside obviously needs more training. A couple lessons from Mad Dog might be in order.”

Their leader DarkNightsCon was shocked and speechless. IX P XI was frustrated and a little banged up from the fight. The Alpha Team had just put the Hardcore Teams ego in check.

When asked if the Hardcore Team wanted a rematch they all declined and came random excuses not face the Alpha Team again.

Frito said “I got homework to do.” (Ain’t School out till next year Rookie)

IX P XI said “I fractured my trigger finger in the battle and have to go put ice on my hand.” (Hey that’s what happens when you shoot at air)

DarkNights said “Wendy’s just called me I gotta pick up my food.” (Since when can you call your order into Wendy’s)

Paco said “I gotta go check the oil in my car it was running a little low.”

Someone even said their brother sprayed them with Lysol during the game thats why he didn’t perform as well. Every excuse in the book was thrown at the Alpha Team so they left with the victory and went back to training.

I’m sure the two squads will scrimmage a million more times in the future.

Nards Halo Cry

It was last night i was playing some S&d with Feccy J, Mad Dog, Diaperdandy and StarNards we were all doing great winning as usual than at 12:00 a.m we hear “Back out, Back out” so the 5 of us backed out. We all asked Nards why did we back out? Nards replied ” I dont wanna play cod4 now i wanna play H3″ Mad Dog was shocked after giving Nards another shot on the team he decides to just leave after playing only 4 games with the team. I thought him leaving the team to play H3 was bad, but he even tried to take Feccy with him. Mad Dog tried to talk to him to see what was bothering Nards, but all he got was ” I dont know Mad Dog , Maybe I’m Shy”. If Nards cant take the LRSD seriously he should not be able to play, I think he should have a 10 day suspension and if he does not change it should lead to permanent bann.

Maybe I am wrong post comments and lets hear how you feel on the situation.

Camping

Camping is a major issue in gaming nowadays so its either you hate it or love it. Camping is not bad, it is a very helpful strategy that works well in many game types. Team camping can be very successful and will lead you to many victories. Finding a spot to camp can either be very easy or pretty difficult. It all depends on the game type and how you set up your position. Having each soldier guard a certain part of the map will protect a lot of people from dying and making a rookie mistakes. Gaming is very competitive and some gamers look down on others who camp, but in reality it is destroying their moral and leading them to play poorly. Keeping your position locked down is very important. You can not leave any openings because if you do that can lead to a teammates death or possibly your own. Figure out who controls what spot the best and it will help strengthen your position. So just remember Camping is just another word for “Holding Positon”.
