Despite the loss in Monday Nights scrimmage the Hardcore Team wasn’t giving the Alpha Squad the respect it deserved. The leader of the Hardcore Team (DarkNights) was angered by the article written by Gymboslice and decided to send the Alpha Team a challenge. The Alpha Team gladly accepted the challenge and then they went to work. They proved why they are the Alpha Squad by defeating the Hardcore Team in two straight games by a score of 4-1. (Fact of the Night: One game everyone was dead on Hardcore Team but Jeffro and Wooshy failed to locate the bomb. So it could of been an overall score of 9-1 but it ended up being 8-2) Match One The Alpha team got first pick and selected Ambush. The Hardcore Team is known for their great sniping ability but it never showed up during the match. The Hardcore Team won the opening game but it was only because Jeffro and Wooshy couldn’t locate the bomb in time. After that round the Alpha Team recovered from their mistake by sweeping the rest of the games and winning the match 4-1. The LRSD worked their game plan to perfection. This game set the tone for match number two. Match Two Match Two can be summed up by saying “TakedownSpecial Did Work!” The LRSD again followed the game plan perfectly and dominated another match. The Hardcore Team was fluster and kept running into the bullets of TakedownSpecial. Gymboslice only needed to register one kill and it wasn’t even from shooting. DiaperDandy and Wooshy called out enemy locations while Jeffrosaw and Takedown dropped enemy after enemy. Mad Dog relaxed as the team operated like a well oiled machine. The LRSD secured another 4-1 victory and took the best of 3 series 2-0. Final Score: Alpha 2 Darkside 0 (8=2 overall battle score) LRSD ALPHA’s COMMENTS Gymboslice said “I felt that the hardcore team show a lack of respect for the LRSD and they needed to be taught a lesson. Cevo Squad prepares Pafinator for an upcoming Cevo match. Pafinator is young but his game keeps progressing throughout each day. He has learned to deal with trash talk and knows how to take orders. He has alot of pressure on him but hopefully he can handle himself. The rest of the guys and I had a big talk with Mad Dog and figured this was the best solution. I believe that as long as we practice and show him the strategies he will fit right in. If Pafinator starts to play like Bobbigcack he is more than welcome to become a permanent member of our Cevo squad. Last night the Hardcore Team had a scrimmage with the LRSD Alpha squad (Well not the whole Alpha squad). The Hardcore team was riding this huge wave of momentum (5-0 in Game Battles) and wanted to challenge the Alpha Team in a friendly hardcore match. IX P XI and DarkNights wanted to show the Alpha Team that they can’t be stopped in hardcore but the match didn’t go as they planned. The scrimmage was a hardcore search and destroy match something Alpha Team doesn’t practice very often, if at all. The Alpha Team brought some of their superstars in for this one. They really wanted to test the hardcore team and see what all this “Darkside” hype was all about. GymboSlice, Mad Dog, Jeffrosaw and Takedownspecial (What We Like to Call the Fab Four) were all participating in the scrimmage. When these four step on the battlefield together the other team is usually in for a beating. RDawg joined them as the fifth member of the team. The Alpha Team wanted to find out what the “DarkSide” was all about. The Hardcore team brought some of their best players but it just wasn’t enough. Round One started with the Alpha Team securing the first victory of the match. The Hardcore Team was not phased as they came right back and won the next two rounds and took the lead over Alpha Team 2-1. GymboSlice said “Don’t worry the game has just begun.” Next thing you know the Hardcore Team was rocked and the Alpha Team easily took the next 3 games too locked up a 4-2 victory. Those 3 rounds the Alpha Team dismantled the “Darkside” and showed them the light. The DSRL learned a major lesson during the battle and that was not to underestimate anyone especially the LRSD Alpha Squad. Mad Dog built the LRSD and the Alpha Team so of course they are good at everything, even hardcore. Mad Dog said “I just wanted to put IX P XI and the Darkside in their place. Hopefully my sniper bullet to IX P XI’s head sent the message loud and clear. The Alpha Team has been through millions of battles together and I knew the Hardcore team just didn’t have that kind of experience yet. The Darkside obviously needs more training. It was last night i was playing some S&d with Feccy J, Mad Dog, Diaperdandy and StarNards we were all doing great winning as usual than at 12:00 a.m we hear “Back out, Back out” so the 5 of us backed out. We all asked Nards why did we back out? Nards replied ” I dont wanna play cod4 now i wanna play H3″ Mad Dog was shocked after giving Nards another shot on the team he decides to just leave after playing only 4 games with the team. I thought him leaving the team to play H3 was bad, but he even tried to take Feccy with him. Mad Dog tried to talk to him to see what was bothering Nards, but all he got was ” I dont know Mad Dog , Maybe I’m Shy”. If Nards cant take the LRSD seriously he should not be able to play, I think he should have a 10 day suspension and if he does not change it should lead to permanent bann. Maybe I am wrong post comments and lets hear how you feel on the situation.
Cevo is a big thing in the gaming industry and not having pure success in the first bracket might lead to a terrible downfall. The first match never happened, we got the win because the other team never showed. second game was tough but we thought we had it all planned out. WRONG!! We practiced and practiced but we never had the full team on when we did. So the first game was Domination we knew it was going to be tough but we thought as a team we could pull through. We ended up losing the domination game but we still held our heads high. The second game was Search and Destroy we thought we would win this for sure. The other team won the 1st round but we pulled through second round and it was tied (1-1) round wise. They then won 2 more rounds. So the score was 3-1. We were on defense and we starting talking more. Communication for the team improved throughout the games but we all ended up dying except DiaperDandy. Diaper pulls through with a major clutch victory and the game is now 3-2. Next round Starnards dies from an RPG right at the spawn. Diaperdandy was killed some how in battle. Feccy j and I were they only ones left. It was a 3 on 2 situation. Feccy Goes down by M16! I was the sole survivor. With only a minute left I killed 2 guys and grabbed the bomb with only 30 seconds left. I had to make a run for it all the way across the map. On my way to the bomb site I get clipped but I was still alive. I plant the bomb but was killed shortly after. With no one left the lone member on the other team defuses the bomb for the win. Anonymous source said after the loss “It was tough loss to take knowing one of my teammates was a major reason why we lost. He really let the team down. A change in the roster looks like the only solution. We sat down after the loss and had a big team meeting and tried to resolve the problem right way. No change has been made but hopefully one is on the way.”
