I know we’ve been holding off on this tournament for a while now but its time to get the ball rolling. Any LRSD member who is interested in entering the first LRSD One vs One Tournament send Gymboslice a message on Xbox Live saying “I’m in” and you will be added to the bracket. Send the message by Friday (2/27/09) the latest! (NOTE: If you do not send Gymbo a message or communicate with him by Friday then you will not be eligible for the tournament. Once Gymbo creates the bracket he will not recreate another bracket for people entering late.) Members Not Allowed: Mad Dog and GymboSlice (They will be Referees for the tournament and supplying prizes. We want to give people a chance to actually win. Note: Gymbo and Mad Dog would have to buy each other prizes if they were competing in the tournament.) Alpha Members are allowed in the Tournament. So watch out for bad kids like TakedownSpecial, Iconz, and Feccy J. Both Rounds must be played by the weeks end. If for whatever reason you can not schedule a game for either of your two matches, report the reason to Gymboslice, Jeffrosaw, Takedownspecial, DiaperDandy, Magic Wooshy or Mad Dog. This tournament needs to get underway. Forfeits will be handed out if necessary. These are real prizes we are giving out. The headsets cost around $50 and up. The Microsoft points should be at least $10-$20 per teammate in points. If you don’t want to take this tournament serious we will cancel the event and crown Gymboslice and Jeffrosaw Champions and they will be given the headsets because they do not own a pair of quality head sets like the ones we are giving out. Tournament has been changed into one division. Each Team must play each other once. Report the Score of the overall match (2-1, 2-0, etc) and the score to the individual game (4-1, 4-3, 4-2, etc). Each division game will be a best of 3. Their must be a ref present in the game for it to count unless given permission other wise. (Need a Ref See: TakedownSpecial, GymboSlice, Mad Dog, DarkKnights, DiaperDandy, JeffroSaw) Those of you who do not have a Team this is your last chance to get in. I will lock down the tournament Tomorrow. The Games will be all regular (sorry you hardcore fans). First Two games of the best of 3 will be search. The tie breaker will be a Deathmatch. The round ends when every team has played each other once. The winners will be award Turtle Beach Head Sets. While the second place finishers Microsoft points so they can buy themselves some skills. Everyone else that doesn’t place must report to Mad Dog’s basic training course that will be running two days a week (one hour session). Best Four Teams will advance to the next round. LRSD regular has just announced the participants to their portion of the bracket. Each Team will have to play each other one time and report to GymboSlice the winner and score of each round and final score of the match. Example: Each Round: 4-1, 4-1 Match: 2-0 Winner: So on. The LRSD Regular Guys can start scheduling games with each team in their division. You have to play every Team once so don’t be scared. Just Grab a leader or two and they will be able to Ref the match. NOTE: Remember the scores of your Division Matches or you will have to rematch. Photo’s of the match are not needed because no one needs to lie. We are all in the same clan and any issues with the match bring up with the Refs or Clan Leaders. How it Will Work 1. For Division Play each Double Team will play each other once. 2. Each Division Series will be a best of 3. The First two Games will be a Search and Destroy matches. The third game if necessary will be a Death Match. The Death match game will not count on your overall record if you go to a game 3. Report the final score of the death match if it was needed. 3. The best two records will meet in the semi in a best of 5 series and the winner of that will face the winner of the other division (Hardcore / Regular). The Game Types will be 5 Search and Destory matches. (Best Record will go by Win %) 4. The Finals between the Hardcore winner and Regular winner will be a best of 7 series. It will work kind of like the World Series. The Finals will be all Search and Destroy rotating like a baseball playoff series between the two game types, hardcore and regular. 5. The Team with the Overall best division record will be given home field advantage (Game type advantage) in the Finals. Example: If you Have three 4-1 victories then your team is 12-3. Example: Hardcore Team is 14-5 and Regular Team is 13-6. The Finals will have 4 hardcore matches and 3 regular if it goes all 7 games. (Best Record will go by Win %) 6. The LRSD Tournament will take place next weekend Sunday July 20th. There will be two types of tournaments a free-for-all tournament and a double team tournament. As of right now hardcore and regular LRSD guys will be competing in separate divisions. That may change depending upon the turn-out. What You Need to Do? 1. Comment on this post and confirm you are entering the tournament. 2. Name your Double Team Partner. Note: If people are fighting over the same partner, names will be drawn out of a hat. 3. You Must Register Your Comment Before Saturday! If you have a problem getting to a computer have a friend or teammate do it for you. If you have no friends contact Mad Dog or GymboSlice. The Free for All Tournament will be broken down into two games. Depending on # of competitors. The top 4 or 5 players in the first round will move to the championship round. Then it will be a 4 or 5 man free for all and the winner of that will be crowned champion. Second and third place will also be awarded prizes. Double Team will work as such. The teams will be split into two divisions (Division A and Division B). Every Team in the division will play each other one time. The top two teams in each division will make it to the playoff round. Each division game is a best of 3 series. First round of the playoffs is a best of 5. Championship round is a best of 7. If the game is a draw it will be played over. There are no ties in baseball so there will be no ties in the LRSD Tournament. Also there is no crying in baseball and their will be no crying in the LRSD tournament. As of right now the special guest referees will be Mad Dog and IX P XI. Other possible guest refs will be Gymboslice, Takedownspecial and Jeffrosaw.
