Let the Guns Do the Talking!!!

Let me start off by stating that the LRSD wants to be respected and not looked at as a bunch of trash talking bunch of F***heads. We want people to look at us as a bunch of respectful good guys. Recently there’s has been a player on the LRSD who been acting the exact opposite. He always trash talked even if nothing was said to him. He has made us look immature and disrespectful. The reason for this solely was that he thought he was the best. This particular player has been very full of himself and has even stopped listening to orders given to him by the LRSD leaders. Do not think these actions were not noticed, they were and the player has been removed from the LRSD and wont be seeing his way back in. We have no need for someone that causes the teams chemistry and moral to implode. Besides that sh**show I have something else to talk about.

This is about when we are on the opposite side of the gun and people are talking trash to us. When this happens we need to ignore it. I know it is tough but we just need to. If we get caught up in all that bull our performance will lack and I know from personal experience LRSD. From now on we let our guns and skills do the talking. From this point on there will be no trash talk. We will wish the other team good luck and tell them good round, but other than that the bullets and wins will do the talking.

Lower the Volume Please!!

As you all know it is 2009 and the technology we have is pretty advanced. What I’m trying to get at here is that you don’t always have to yell into the mic for it to pick your voice up. As you also know some of us have Turtle Beach headsets and by yelling you just cause hearing problems for us. In some cases it is ok to yell but you don’t have to all the time. The people that do this the most is probably Overdose and Maverick, you know what I’m not going to mention names just yet. For a certain person out there ( Overdose ) you really need to tune it down. You were recently complaining that no one is on your team and that you don’t have enough players. The reason for this is probably that you hospitalize them for internal bleeding in their ears. Well quite frankly I don’t blame them either. I know that supposedly i am the “meanest” and yell all the time but i can also talk in an “inside voice”. Now on the other you are always yelling at the top of your lungs. My advice to you is to lower your voice and stop yelling. I think that you will see a change, because people might actually stay on your team. You dont have to listen to me but i highly recommend you take my advice.

FeccyJ’s Sniper School

As you all know and even if you didn’t the LRSD is in need of a sniper. As a decent sniper I would like to share some tips to help others out. There are a few key things for a sniper and I would like to share and explain.

Scout or Spotter(s)
Manage your breathing
Identifying your target.
Concealing your position

Scout or Spotters

As a Sniper it is tough doing it by yourself.It is always easier with a little help. On the field of battle if your squad mate sights a hostile he/she should let the sniper know. The reason for this is so that the sniper has an idea of where the enemy is. This saves time for the sniper so he/she does not have to locate the target all by him/her self.

Manage Your Breathing

In sniping it is very important to control your breathing. If you do not accomplish this it will be much harder to execute shots. If your breath is not held you will most likely miss the shot. On the COD battlefield I have a tip to help manage your breathing. As you all know you have a certain time limit to hold your breath. After that time you run out of breath. You can not hold your breath for a few seconds after this. These few seconds could be vital. The trick i have is when holding your breath instead of holding the LS down you keep tapping it. By doing this you do not run out of breath and now you will worry about those couple of seconds which you can’t hold your breath for.

Idenntifying Your Target

It is very important to identify your target. This is especially important in GB where friendly fire is enabled and every man on the team counts. One way to identify your target is by noticing the name on top. If it is red fire if it is blue hold fire. Sometimes the names don’t come up, this can pose a tricky situation. In this case you can look at the uniform and make sure it is the opposite of you or you can ask your teamates if they are in that position. By doing these quick and easy things you will eliminate friendly fire.

Concealing Your Position

This is also a very important thing to do when sniping. There is no need for unnecessary shots. A snipers goal is one shot, one kill. If you miss you risk giving away your position. When sniping your position is vital. You want to be in a spot where you can see the enemy but they cannot see you.

Inside the Head of Pafinator

For all you who do not know, Pafinator is one of the more experienced players. Recently he was put on the Charlie Team. As you all know the Charlie team did play Bravo team and lost. Many of the players on Charlie were discouraged. After a while of trying to contact a C team player and talk to them, we’ve finally gotten a hold of Pafinator. We sat him down and asked him some questions.

FeccyJ: “Paf how do you feel about the loss?”

Pafinator: “Well you know Feccy, I’m sure im not the only one feeling upset about the loss but I have been down on myself for a while because of it. Ever since the loss I haven’t been on top of my game but it has started coming back.”

FeccyJ: “What do you think the major flaw of Charlie Team was?”

Pafinator: “Well I can’t stress the word more. DEDICATION, DEDICATION, DEDICATION. Most of the Charlie team had none of this. Personally I wanted to practice with the team but nobody was ever on together to do it. One thing in particular that bothered me was Bore. He’s not the best player and all he said was that the game would be easy. I kept telling him we needed to practice and go over strats but he kept insisting that it would be an easy match.”

FeccyJ: “How do you think you did in the match?”

Pafinator: “I believe I performed averagely, but the main reason was that nobody had any idea what was going on and it was a cluster f*** the whole time.”

FeccyJ: “If your team had practiced do you think you would have won?”

Pafinator: “Well not to knock the Bravo team or anything but yea I do think we were capable of winning. We just lacked the practice as a team, unlike the Bravo team who practiced very well.

FeccyJ: “Would you like to play Bravo again if you could?”

Pafinator: “Of course it was a very good time. On one condition though only if my team practiced together and got better as a team.”

FeccyJ: “What will you be doing with your off time now since the match is over?”

Pafinator: “Well I would like to take charge and get my team practicing and getting better team chemistry so if there is another B vs. C game will stand a better opposition.”

FeccyJ: “I’d like to thank you for your time Paf and good luck with the team.”
Well there you have it. Now you know what one of the C team members was thinking. We hope to see Charlie start working as a team and getting better. Who knows if there will be another B vs. C battle?

Free For All Tournament

The Free For All Tournament will begin this weekend (Jan. 17th and 18th). Time will be announced and added to this post so check back soon or talk to one of the Alpha Team Members.

How will it work?

There will be more then at least 3 to 5 rounds. You will receive points for finishing in 1st through 4th. First will get 4, Second will get 3, Third will get 2 and Fourth will get 1 point. Whoever has the most points will be announced as the winner.

If a lot of people are participating in the tournament we could break it into two groups. Basically it will all depend on the turn out for the event. Maps will be selected by the Council.

The New Guys

There have been two new additions to the LRSD. One of the new members is Jigsaw. We picked up Jigsaw after he saw how good we were when we beat his old Gamebattles team. Jigsaw begged to be let him in. Feeling nice that day Mad Dog decided to let him try out. His first attempt failed, but we gave him a break. It was a Ground War on Outskirts, so we decided to give him another chance and he prevailed.

The other new member is Chub. Jigsaw recommended Chub to us. After playing a few games with us and of course winning Chub asked if he could try out for the team. The Elite members said, Why Not. So therefore Chub tryed out and also passed the initiation challenge. These two will be playing on the hardcore team for now. They will be trying to get a starting spot. Until then they will add a little competition to the upcoming Free For All Tournament.

Why Mad Dog Should Yell

Recently Mad Dog has tuned his yelling down and it has been hurting the team especially myself. The LRSD has been losing Gamebattles and not doing to good. Mad Dogs yelling although it was unecesssary at sometimes, overall it helped me out. It inspiredd me and wanted me to work harder. In a SnD I unfortunatley had a very bad game and went 0-6. It was very embarrising. Usually Mad Dog would have screamed at me if i was 0-2 and i would have stepped it up, but he did not and i continued to die. If Mad Dog would have yelled I think I would have done a lot better. That proves that we need Mad Dog needs to yell. Hopefully we will hear more yelling soon.

B-Team Doing Work.

The B-Team has been really stepping it up lately. This wouldn’t have been possible without Paco and Shadow running the battlefield. Paco is new to the whole leadership role as well as shadow who had just joined the LRSD not to long ago. At first the two didn’t really take much authority, that’s how it was until Mad Dog and myself started yelling and telling them to take some authority. After the discussion the two new leaders of the B-team took some authority and took control of their team. They put their men into positon and pretty much ran the game. Of course when they were struggling the Elite members would step in and handle the problem. The B-team is making a lot of progress and working together well. They will have to practice for the A vs B team match, but they will have some time. I will keep you updated on the B-team and their progress.

Yellow, Orange, and Red.

Different game modes and game situations call for different styles of play. In the following article I will explain these different situations and the “yellow,orange, and red” meter that goes along with them.

First. the yellow.Playing yellow means kind of laid back on a defensive. This type of play most likely goes with search and destroy. It can also go with a death-match when you are winning but it is still a close game. Even when in yellow you always have to be ready for action and always be aware of your surroundings and be ready to shoot the enemy.

Next, there is orange. Orange can also be used for many situations. I’ve seen orange most productive in war. The reason is you have some teammates rush and try to capture the objectives, while the remaining teammates provide cover from other positions. Orange can also be used in death-match and search and destroy. For death-match orange means you send some to kill and some to cover the teamates that rush. This is most likely used when you are trying to secure a better lead on the opponent. Other than war and deathmatch orange can be used for search and destroy. In search and destroy this is mostly used when you are a couple men down and want to try to even the odds up. In orange in SnD you will be on more of an offensive.

Finally, you have red. Red means that you bumrush like freaks, but freaks with a purpose. Red is meant to take the enemy out shortly and effectively. This type of play is mainly used in SnD and deathmatch. For SnD there is certain maps where are team is trained to take a certain class out and just rush to one plant site. This type of play usually catches the other team off guard, but even if there expecting you it still works. red is also used in deathmatch when you are behind in a game and you NEED to take the lead.

Thats it for all the styles of play. When either you are playing pubs or you are in gamebattles remember these and it will help you out a lot.

I have not left Call of Duty and i never will. I do admit to playing Gears but i would never leave Call of Duty. The only time I play Gears of War is when nobody is on Call of Duty. I know this is another interesting article by me, but it was just to clear things up. Especially those rumors that I have left Call of Duty.
