The LRSD Rumble Packe kicked off their GameBattles (GB) season the other day and it got off to a great start. Despite GB changing their game variant to all map generation, the Rumble Pack managed to start 2-1. So far it seems we really got our game together when it comes to the new game type Demolition. We have been managing to win Demolition rounds and we feel its going to be one of our strengths as a the season moves forward.

After the first two wins of the season the Pack suffered a loss but you know it’s not a big deal and will only make us a stronger team in the long run. Other than Gamebattles the LRSD had been doing their normal intra-squad scrimmages and things have been going very well. During the scrimmages the Rumble Pack has been able to improve on their strategies, team work, and game play.

This is about when we are on the opposite side of the gun and people are talking trash to us. When this happens we need to ignore it. I know it is tough but we just need to. If we get caught up in all that bull our performance will lack and I know from personal experience LRSD. From now on we let our guns and skills do the talking. From this point on there will be no trash talk. We will wish the other team good luck and tell them good round, but other than that the bullets and wins will do the talking.

Well the story goes like this:

The LRSD won the first game of the match with the help of two 3 on 1 clutches.  The first 3 on 1 clutch was by the great TakedownSpecial. Takedown makes a living out of making magic happen so this wasn’t surprising at all.  Then to win the round the LRSD got another 3 on 1 clutch by Feccy J. Which was quite surprising because Feccy was in his first game back after his most recent suspension and no one was really expecting much out of him so soon. TakedownSpecial said “It was great to see Feccy J come back and not miss a beat.”

During the round members of the other team complained that someone on the LRSD was cheating and used two frags.  The LRSD never cheats so they didn’t believe the other team and argued with them.  Everyone on the LRSD line up denied using two frag during the game.  Then after the round was over Mr. OverDose finally confessed that he had used two frags thus costing the LRSD game one of the match. It clearly destroyed the LRSD’s moral for game two and it lead to the LRSD losing in overtime on the 2nd map.

Scout or Spotters

As a Sniper it is tough doing it by yourself.It is always easier with a little help. On the field of battle if your squad mate sights a hostile he/she should let the sniper know. The reason for this is so that the sniper has an idea of where the enemy is. This saves time for the sniper so he/she does not have to locate the target all by him/her self.

Manage Your Breathing

In sniping it is very important to control your breathing. If you do not accomplish this it will be much harder to execute shots. If your breath is not held you will most likely miss the shot. On the COD battlefield I have a tip to help manage your breathing. As you all know you have a certain time limit to hold your breath. After that time you run out of breath. You can not hold your breath for a few seconds after this. These few seconds could be vital. The trick i have is when holding your breath instead of holding the LS down you keep tapping it. By doing this you do not run out of breath and now you will worry about those couple of seconds which you can’t hold your breath for.

Idenntifying Your Target

It is very important to identify your target. This is especially important in GB where friendly fire is enabled and every man on the team counts. One way to identify your target is by noticing the name on top. If it is red fire if it is blue hold fire. Sometimes the names don’t come up, this can pose a tricky situation. In this case you can look at the uniform and make sure it is the opposite of you or you can ask your teamates if they are in that position. By doing these quick and easy things you will eliminate friendly fire.

Concealing Your Position

This is also a very important thing to do when sniping. There is no need for unnecessary shots. A snipers goal is one shot, one kill. If you miss you risk giving away your position. When sniping your position is vital. You want to be in a spot where you can see the enemy but they cannot see you.

FeccyJ: “Paf how do you feel about the loss?”

Pafinator: “Well you know Feccy, I’m sure im not the only one feeling upset about the loss but I have been down on myself for a while because of it. Ever since the loss I haven’t been on top of my game but it has started coming back.”

FeccyJ: “What do you think the major flaw of Charlie Team was?”

Pafinator: “Well I can’t stress the word more. DEDICATION, DEDICATION, DEDICATION. Most of the Charlie team had none of this. Personally I wanted to practice with the team but nobody was ever on together to do it. One thing in particular that bothered me was Bore. He’s not the best player and all he said was that the game would be easy. I kept telling him we needed to practice and go over strats but he kept insisting that it would be an easy match.”

FeccyJ: “How do you think you did in the match?”

Pafinator: “I believe I performed averagely, but the main reason was that nobody had any idea what was going on and it was a cluster f*** the whole time.”

FeccyJ: “If your team had practiced do you think you would have won?”

Pafinator: “Well not to knock the Bravo team or anything but yea I do think we were capable of winning. We just lacked the practice as a team, unlike the Bravo team who practiced very well.

FeccyJ: “Would you like to play Bravo again if you could?”

Pafinator: “Of course it was a very good time. On one condition though only if my team practiced together and got better as a team.”

FeccyJ: “What will you be doing with your off time now since the match is over?”

Pafinator: “Well I would like to take charge and get my team practicing and getting better team chemistry so if there is another B vs. C game will stand a better opposition.”

FeccyJ: “I’d like to thank you for your time Paf and good luck with the team.”
Well there you have it. Now you know what one of the C team members was thinking. We hope to see Charlie start working as a team and getting better. Who knows if there will be another B vs. C battle?

B or C Member: ” Well uhh Id rather cover the other area.” ” Sir, yes Sir!”

If a B or C member argues with an order he can be given the boot from the team. this is unless it was an unreasonable order. Although it sounds like Alpha has all the fun ordering people around, we do take orders from Mad Dog and if we do not follow the orders we are severely punished.
